Eject! - a utility to open the CD tray
About Eject! (Version 1.00)
Eject! is a simple, freeware, program that opens the CD tray on most Macintoshes. It is compatible with all pre-OS X Macs. I wrote it because I couldn't find the official Eject Application from Apple, and I wasn't about to pay $15 for a piece of shareware just so I could use an old keyboard (with the power-key that I need for access to MacsBug) with my new Mac.
You'll probably want to use the Keyboard control panel to bind Eject! to a function key.
You'll probably never need this program, since it is extremely similar to one that Ed Kegley of humonc.wisc.edu informs me is on the Mac O.S. 9.2 G4 install disk.

This is freeware, C source included. (public domain)
